Eclipse Run allows you to select the optimal viewing location to witness the live and in-person experience of the April 8, 2024 eclipse, spanning from Newfoundland to Mazatlán, Mexico, and available in English and Spanish languages.
The application displays maps delineating the region where the complete eclipse can be witnessed. Within this area lies the line of maximum totality, which can last over 4 minutes based on the specific location.
To use the app, simply place your finger on various points at the intersections of the line of maximum totality and a road, resulting in the appearance of a marker. By tapping on a marker, you can access the area's weather forecast and receive detailed driving directions via Maps.
Throughout your journey, Eclipse Run sends alerts when entering the totality zone and crossing the line of maximum totality. The user-friendly interface ensures an immersive experience of this natural wonder.
Moreover, the Plan Ahead function provides additional information like historical average cloud cover, enhancing your preparation for the eclipse viewing experience.
